The 2026 Historic Vehicle Gathering has now concluded, and we have a lot of thank yous that we need to say after a fun-filled automotive weekend basking in the summer heat.
First of all, thank you to all of you. You turned out in your thousands despite the incredibly warm weather. You make our show by coming out every year to support us and the charities we can only support because of you.
Speaking of our charities, we’d like to thank all of them showing up with their volunteers to raise money and awareness of their great causes. We’d like to specially highlight our three main charities this year: the British Heart Foundation, Dementia Friendly Honiton and the Torbay Prostate Support Association.
To all of our sponsors (Howden Classic, Adams Morey, Thomas and Gentry IFA, Re:Fuel and The Vault), exhibitors, car clubs, traders and suppliers - thanks for keeping us fed, well-stocked and allowing us to see your amazing vehicles. To our emergency services and security staff, thanks for keeping us safe. Thanks also to the Powderham Estate.
Finally, thank you to all our amazing volunteers. It is easy sometimes to forget that the backbone of our show do it completely unpaid. The show in itself is not-for-profit, and once it has covers its own costs, the rest of the money goes to charity.
Please remember them when offering your feedback, which you can do on social media or via email. It is easy to give feedback in the heat of the moment (no pun intended), harder to do so with compassion. Thank you to everyone who has submitted feedback thus far.
